Wow! We’re nearly done the whole school year! This week has been pretty interesting because of all the Weather! It has been so rainy lately, but that hasn’t stopped us from having fun in the seniors! We have been making a website for our ePortfolio which has been pretty fun. We have also been working on our Memory books which I have nearly finished mine, I just need to make some adjustments and then I am done.
So this has been a pretty fun week so far, can’t wait for the end of term!
In Australia, we have a lot of natural disasters happening. I decided to focus on just one of them because there are too many for me to talk about. Bushfires are huge in Australia and happen every few years. The most recent one we’ve had is a huge on in New South Wales. Over 100 fires were spreading around the whole state. Around 400 buildings/properties were destroyed, but have been recovered since then.
Another huge bushfire was in 2009 which had 400 fires at a time spreading around Victoria. The fires affected 78 townships and Approximately 7000 people had to leave their homes because of the fires. Other than houses, 173 people were killed and 414 people were harmed. From then on the day had been widely known as “Black Saturday”.
